Magic is a concept that can be interpreted in numerous ways according to historical, cultural, religious and personal beliefs. Whilst some people roll their eyes at the very idea of it, others believe magic to be a very genuine force in the world.

It has always been my belief that magic lies entirely in the eye of the beholder—defined only by the imagination of those who look upon it—and can be dismissed just as readily as it can be worshipped, feared or enjoyed. As a father, I receive immense pleasure from watching my young children experience the magic of this world daily. They have pure, open minds that relish life's many beautiful mysteries.

Professionally, I have also been incredibly fortunate to work closely with some of the greatest magicians of our era—Daniel Madison, Troy, Jonathan Goodwin, Darcy Oak and DMC—and seen first-hand the astonishment they inspire in the eyes and hearts of their global audiences. I am not only in awe of their ability to evoke these emotions in others but also the dedication, patience, tenacity, resilience, imagination and confidence they all need to master their art.

My fifteen years of hard work, study and experience within the magic space have taught me two things I know for sure. First, magic can be whatever we each decide it to be - good, bad or otherwise. Secondly, and far more importantly, the world we live in today needs magic more than ever before.
